178 - A Therataan vessel crashes on the Rodomok homeworld. The Rodomok reverse engineer a working hyperspace engine within 20 years.
243 - The Rodomok conquer
the original homeworld of the Celay, and enslave its inhabitants.
317 - The Rodomok Empire conquers an out-lying Therataan colony world. A major war breaks out between the two races.
321 - The Rodomok conquer the inhabitants of Klinshay (UAC 221503). The Klinshaya will be the servants of the Rodomok Empire
for the next 1631 years.
328 - The Therataan/Rodomok war ends between the Rodomok Empire and the Therataan
Protectorates with the Rodomok defeated. As a result of the war, the sector of space containing Terra technically becomes Therataan space. However, due to Therataan religious beliefs, no contact is permitted with the primitive civilizations of Earth, Celay, or Ryl'Atti.
708 - A second war breaks out between the Therataa and the Rodomok.
746 - After decades of skirmishes, the second Therataan/Rodomok war ends in a draw.
1905 - A slave uprising on a Rodomok transport vessel frees nearly 5000 Celay. They manage to crash land on Tau Ceti IV and settle there.
1906
- The Celay still enslaved by the Rodomok revolt thoughout the Empire.
They are viciously crushed, and the Celay are exterminated.
1907 - The Rodomok attack the Therataan Protectorates a third time. The Rodomok are badly defeated within the year, a lose nearly
3/4 of their territory and 90% of their warfleet.
1908 - A battle between the Rodomok and the Therataa takes place in Sol system. A Rodomok destroyer crashes on Earth near
Tunguska, Russia.
- The third Therataan/Rodomok war ends in defeat for the Rodomok empire.
1933 - A Therataan patrol ship spends several months observing the beginning of a global war on Terra. Therataan scientists predict
humanity will destroy itself in the next century. As Terra is on the verge of developing both radar and atomic weaponry, Sol system is quarantined.
1934 - A Therataan patrol ship accidentally makes contact with a Ryl'Atti vessel in the Beta Centauri system. The Ryl'Atti begin trying to develop
spacecraft. The Therataan ship captain is executed by her government. As
a result of this incident, the Ryl'Atti forbid any type of radio device to be
developed or used on their planet, hoping to prevent their world's detection from
space. For this reason, Terra will be unaware of the existence of the
Ryl'Atti until 2069.
1945 - Terra develops nuclear weapons.
1946
- Amath of Ryl'At becomes the first of his species to travel in space.
1952 - The Rodomok Empire is overthrown and destroyed by a Klinshayan rebellion. The surviving Rodomok become subjects of a new Klinshayan Empire. It will be nearly a century before the Klinshaya master enough Rodomok technology to begin expanding their
influence.
1961 - Cosmonaut Yuri Gagarin becomes the first Terran to travel in space.
1964 - Ryl'Atti scientists develop nuclear weapons.
1969 - Terran explorers land for the first time on the planet's moon near the site of what will later become the city of Lunaport.
1972 - A global war breaks out on Ryl'At, ending Ryl'Atti space exploration for the time being.
1979 - Ryl'At's World War ends with the exchange of a single nuclear weapon. A unified world government is formed by the victorious side.
1986 - The Terran space shuttle Challenger is destroyed during liftoff by a faulty solid rocket engine seal.
2001 - The Ryl'Atti make their first attempt at hyperspace travel. It is a spectacular failure, killing 50 Ryl'Atti and destroying the vessel and its ground facilities.
2003 - The Terran space shuttle Columbia is destroyed due to a damaged heat shield while returning from a scientific mission in low Earth orbit.
2007 - The
Klinshaya detect radio signals from Earth for the first time. Initially
they believe Earth is a Therataan colony, and do not investigate further.
2044 - Astronaut Jason Porter becomes the first Terran to set foot on Mars (Sol IV).
2051 - Terrans found the first settlement on Mars (Sol IV) on the site of what will later
become Farsoom City.
2058 - A Klinshayan
scout ship enters the Beta Centauri system and destroys a Ryl'Atti space
station. The Ryl'Atti manage to destroy the
Klinshayan vessel with massed nuclear missiles but remain unaware if its
origins.
2061 - Terran probe Magellan launched to Alpha Centauri.
2062 - Terran probe Columbus launched to Tau Ceti.
2063 - Terran probe Lewis launched to 61 Cygnus.
2064 - Terran probe Clark launched to Epsilon Eridani.
2069 - Magellan reaches Alpha Centauri, images of Ryl'Atti spacecraft sent back.
- The Ryl'Atti destroy
Magellan.
2073 - Images from Magellan in the Alpha Centauri system reach Earth.

2096 - Images from Clark in the Epsilon Eridani system reach Earth.
- The prototype starship,
U.N.S.S. Icarus is completed in Earth orbit.
2097 - Images from Lewis in the 61 Cygnus system reach Earth.
2098 - Images from Columbus in the Tau Ceti system reach Earth.
- U.N.S.S. Icarus launched to Alpha Centauri.
2101 - September 11, Terra becomes unified under a single democratic,
constitutional government.
2105 - U.N.S.S. Icarus sends last transmission as it nears Alpha Centauri.
- U.N.S.S. Icarus suffers a mysterious life support malfunction, most of the crew abandon ship.
The U.N.S.S. Icarus itself is never found.
- The colony of Centauria is founded on Alpha Centauri III by Icarus crew survivors,
under the rule of the Ryl'Atti government. The Ryl'Atti
allow the Centauria colonists no advanced technology so as to prevent their
contacting Terra.
2109 - Last transmission of U.N.S.S. Icarus reaches Earth, crew of 30 is not heard from again for 51 years.
- Fears rise on Earth
with the knowledge of a technologically advanced, possibly hostile alien race
only 4.3 light years away.
2110 - UN General Assembly votes to construct 20 starships to patrol and defend Solar System.
2113 - Construction of U.N.S.S. Endeavor completed in Earth orbit.
2131 - Dr. Tobias Nelson publishes first research into hyperspace theory.
He will later receive the Nobel Prize for his research.
2146 - Nelson hyperdrive powers first probe to break lightspeed barrier.
2150 - Colonel Deborah Manning becomes first human being to travel in hyperspace,
traveling from Terra to Saturn and back in less than 60
minutes,
2152 - Major Davis Becker becomes the first human being to leave the Solar System in hyperspace, traveling part way to Alpha Centauri before returning to Terra.
2155 - U.N.S.S. Endeavor begins overhaul to install hyperspace engine.
2160 - U.N.S.S. Endeavor launched to Alpha Centauri, arrives 44 days later, first contact with Ryl'Atti civilization of Beta Centauri
III occurs when a
Ryl'Atti ship intercepts Endeavor and prepares to open fire. Captain
Alerion Thorn of the Endeavor is credited with
preventing a tragic unnecessary war with the Ryl'Atti by refusing to fire on the
alien ship.
- After a tense standoff,
Terrans and Ryl'Atti realize that neither species has ever meant the other harm.
- Survivors and descendants of
U.N.S.S. Icarus greet crew of U.N.S.S. Endeavor.
2161 - U.N.S.S. Endeavor returns to Earth with Ryl'Atti delegation.

Ryl'Atti researchers inadvertently invent the teleporter while working to
improve existing hyperspace engines. This technology has been known to the
Therataa for centuries.
2167 - U.N.S.S. Challenger makes peaceful first contact with vessel of the Therataan Protectorates near Lalande 21185.
2169 - The colony of Avalon is founded on Procyon IV by Terran colonists.
- Centauria
petitions for it's independence, which is reluctantly granted by the Terran
government.
2175 - Celay (Tau Ceti IV) is attacked by three vessels of the Klinshaya
Empire. U.N.S.S. Challenger and U.N.S.S. Atlantis are dispatched to
assist.
By the time help arrives from
Terra, nearly one million Celay are dead. U.N.S.S. Challenger is
badly damaged driving the Klinshayan vessels away,
and no longer has hyperspace capability.
- The Celay formally request assistance from
Terra and the Ryl'Atti, U.N.S.S. Atlantis returns to Terra with the Celay
delegation, over her Captain's objections to leaving U.N.S.S. Challenger behind.
2176 - A fleet of nine Klinshayan vessels are encountered enroute to Tau Ceti, intercepted by
U.N.S.S. Challenger, the Klinshaya lay claim to Tau Ceti and its inhabitants, and destroy
U.N.S.S. Challenger with the loss of all hands. U.N.S.S. Challenger
manages to destroy two Klinshaya vessels before her destruction. The
sacrifice of the Challenger and her crew deleay the Klinshaya fleet for nearly
seven days.
- A Terran fleet of 36 starships arrives at Tau Ceti and destroys the Klinshayan vessels before they can attack Tau Ceti
IV.
- The Celay honor the
crew of U.N.S.S. Challenger by renaming their capital city "ShinepjeNe"
which translates as "Challenge Met".
- The Klinshaya Empire declares war on Earth.
2177 - Earth, Celay and Ryl'At form the United Systems Alliance.
2178 - Sporadic engagements are fought between Alliance and Klinshaya
vessels.
- The Therataan Protectorates refuse to assist the Alliance in its war with the Klinshaya,
and remain staunchly neutral.
2179 - U.N.S.S. Enterprise is attacked and captured by a single Klinshaya vessel. The location of Earth is taken from Enterprise's computers, Enterprise is towed back to Klinshay to be dismantled and reverse engineered.
The Klinshaya gain teleporter technology. Due to this incident, there will never be another
Alliance vessel to bear the name Enterprise.
2180 - A fleet of 50 Klinshaya vessels attack Terra after feinting an attack on Celay and drawing Terran fleet vessels away.
Terra is nearly destroyed by 2 days of bombardment, with nearly 2 billion dead. The vastly outgunned Ryl'Atti fleet sacrifices itself
delaying the Klinshaya and preventing the complete destruction of
Terra. The Terran fleet arrives, and after a massive battle, forces the Klinshaya to retreat from Sol system. Final losses are, Terran: 17 ships destroyed, Ryl'Atti: 208 ships destroyed, Klinshaya: 38 ships destroyed, 3 captured.
Killed in this battle is Colonel Davis Becker, in command of U.N.S.S.
Ticonderoga, who ordered
his vessel to ram the Klinshayan flagship at a critical point in the
battle, ensuring the Klinshayan fleet's defeat.
2181 - A unified fleet is formed to combat the Klinshaya. As the Ryl'Atti no longer have a fleet, and the Celay never have had one, it is largely a ceremonial gesture. Ryl'Atti and Celay personnel begin serving on former Terran vessels.
Alliance starships henceforth are named
"U.A.S." , for United Alliance Starship.
2183 - Dr. Tobias Nelson, at the age of 93, makes a further breakthrough in hyperspace physics. His discovery of a second hyperspace continuum layer enables starships to travel up to a thousand times faster than previously possible,
but only outside a star system's gravity
well. This discovery will give the Alliance a decisive advantage in
the remainder of the Klinshaya War.
2184 - An Alliance fleet under the command of Admiral Quentin Parker defeats
the main Klinshaya fleet near Klinzatz (UAC 214749). Their military decimated, the Klinshaya
Empress is assassinated by her own advisors. The new Emperor sues for peace.
- The Treaty of Klinzatz is signed, establishing borders between the Alliance and the Klinshayan Empire and ending the
war, Fleet Admiral
Alerion Thorn signs the treaty on behalf of the United Systems Alliance.
- The Alliance
Constitution is overwhelmingly ratified by the voters of Terra, Ryl'At, and
Celay.
- Centauria officially
joins the United Systems Alliance.
- Quentin Parker of Centauria is
narrowly elected as the first president of the United Systems Alliance.
2185 - Hyperwave radio is invented as an offshoot of Dr. Tobias
Nelson's hyperspace research. This will allow nearly instantaneous
communications at interstellar distances for the first time.
2187 - The colony of Xanadu is jointly founded on Tau Ceti III by Terrans,
Ryl'Atti, and Celay colonists.
2191 - A skirmish between Alliance starship U.A.S. Endurance and the Therataan warship Manara nearly results in war. Negotiations succeed in establishing a mutual Alliance/Therataan Protectorates border. Diplomatic relations begin and embassies are exchanged.
- Dr. Tobias
Nelson transmits his research into hyperspace physics to the Therataan and
Klinshayan governments in hopes of maintaining
galactic peace. He dies the next day at the age of 111.
2192 - Anar of Ryl'At is elected as the second president of the United Systems Alliance.
- The prototype starship
U.A.S. Ticonderoga is completed in Mars orbit.
2193 - The Treaty of Alshaya is signed by the Alliance, Therataan and Klinshayan governments. This treaty prohibits the use of nuclear or antimatter weapons on planetary surfaces, and establishes a universal navigational coordinate system.
The treaty also
creates "demilitarized zones" between each power, entry into which by
any warship is considered an act of war.
2196 - Doctor Kaitlyn Alsever of Centauria develops the Immortrax process. This technology allows a subatomic "snapshot" to be taken of an individual's brain, which is then bound at the quantum level to a nanogel matrix. At the moment of death, and only then, the nanogel matrix becomes active, and can be uploaded into a cloned body of the original individual. This technology effectively makes all who undergo it immortal. The social and religious implications of the Immortrax process continue to be a matter of heated debate in the Alliance to this day.
2198 - In a very controversial decision, the Alliance military makes undergoing the Immortrax process mandatory for all serving personnel.
2200 - Anna Chase Boyle of Terra is elected as the third president of the United Systems Alliance.
2202
- General Deborah Manning dies at her home on Avalon at the age of 86.
For reasons unknown, General Manning refuses to undergo the Immortrax process in
her final days.
2205 - The prototype starship U.A.S. Manning is completed in Mars orbit.
2208 - Marinar of Celay is elected as the fourth president of the United Systems Alliance.
2212 - Edward Friedman of Terra is elected as the fifth president of the United Systems Alliance, narrowly defeating the incumbent President Marinar.
2219 - The Konatutzu star system is invaded by a previously unknown alien species calling itself the Xon. The inhabitants of Konatutzu, the Tzu, petition the United Systems Alliance for assistance and membership in the Alliance. The Alliance Starfleet defeats the invasion force in several pitched battles.
2220 - Eaom of Rylat is elected as the fifth president of the United Systems Alliance. In his first act as President, he signs a bill admitting the Tzu as associate members of the Alliance.
2221 - Clandestine intelligence missions by both United Systems Alliance and Klinshayan Empire forces erupt into full scale war when the Klinshayans are discovered to be purchasing military equipment from the Therataan Protectorates. Seriously outclassed technologically, the Klinshayan Starfleet is defeated in less than two weeks by the Alliance in what has become known as the "Swift War". The peace treaty imposed on the Klinshaya finally frees the Rodomok system, and race, after almost three centuries of slavery.

-Dr.
Nicholas Alsever, a geneticist, takes charge and organizes the survivors almost
immediately after arriving at Icarus Landing. The survivors take shelter until
they can scan the surface better and learn that it is safe to live on.
-The
colony of Centauria is founded on Alpha Centauri III by Icarus crew survivors,
under the rule of the Ryl'Atti government. The Ryl'Atti allow the
Centauria colonists no advanced technology so as to prevent their contacting
Terra.
-The
Ryl’Atti distribute food and water to the survivors and give them needed
supplies for survival.

– The survivors manage to slowly adapt to surviving without advanced
communication or technologies, they begin to mine and refine what they can and
produce surprisingly comfortable shelters where they can grow steadily in
population at an efficient rate.
-The
survivors form a despotic government, and Dr. Nicholas Alsever becomes the
Despot. The doctor oversees reconstruction with Lieutenant Kenneth “One Eye”
Goldstein, a former engineer on the Icarus, who studied architecture and
drafting during his time at the academy. Kenneth would assist in the design and
construction of the entire
-Dr.
Nicholas Alsever announces a campaign to encourage reproduction, as the new
colony will require more of a workforce to grow and become self sufficient.
-Dr.
Alsever appoints Dr. Erica Garcia, a geneticist and linguist, to be the chief of
education operations and assigns her the task of overseeing construction of the
public school building and educating the new children.
2107
– The people begin to clash with the indignant wildlife, including the
many prehistoric creatures that cover the planet. Sergeant
Elizabeth Norton single handedly fends off a Tyrannosaurus from killing Amanda
Alsever, and earns the task of training and arming the survivors to defend
themselves and drive off the beasts from Icarus Landing.
-Lt. Goldstein leads an expedition to
find a possible suitable area for mining, and quickly discovers many areas of
metal deposits on Icarus Landing. He begins to understand how valuable this
planet may be for future development.
-Dr. Garcia’s education sessions
pay off greatly; all of the children are able to receive direct education due to
their small numbers. Children under her system are able to perform operations
which only college adults would have been expected to perform under the United
Nations of Earth’s systems.

- Last transmission of U.N.S.S. Icarus reaches Earth, crew of 30 is not

A near death incident at the mine nearly costs Lt. Goldstein his life, he loses
the use of one of his eyes and gains the name “One Eye” by many, he takes
this as a symbol of pride and strives harder to learn from his mistakes and
improve safety and efficiency of mining and production.
-Icarus landing now has housing for
all families, a school, a metal processing facility, and several factories for
manufacturing parts for housing and primitive weapons.
-Amanda Alsever begins to assist in
actual village work. She begins to assist in design of a new hospital which is
completed in 2116. She then begins to work there as the main medical care
physician.
2115 –
On the Tenth year anniversary of the Icarus Landing a large festival is held to
commemorate those who were lost.
-Amanda Alsever makes a fine toast
and salute to all of those who were lost; this gains the respect of the entire
group of survivors and bolsters morale. During this speech she allows them all
to digest well the fact that they may not see home in their lifetimes. The
people are soothed, however, by her charismatic way of presenting this, and are
rallied to continue living on for a “Day of Unity”.
2116
– Amanda Alsever gives birth to her first child, a boy. Kentaurus
Alsever is born at his home on Icarus Landing. Kentaurus
will be father to Kaitlyn Alsever years later, as well as a leader of Centauria.

viral disease begins to spread through the village; investigations by Dr.
Nicholas Alsever conclude that the drinking water has a native virus, which is
rare to begin with. It cannot be spread except through the drinking water.
-Dr.
Nicholas Alsever orders all water which is to be used to first undergo testing,
which should delay the spread of the virus.

– Amanda Alsever, Dr. Nicholas Alsever, and Dr. Garcia develop a
vaccine for the viral agent and begin treatment to all survivors and children.
2121
– Amanda Alsever gives birth to triplets. Toliman, Vanessa, and
Victoria Alsever are born at the medical hospital at Icarus Landing.
2126
– All of the
-The
survivors are now completely settled in, and the area seems to be more to appear
like a vacation village now more than a survivalist camp. Entertainment areas
now exist around in the commercial areas and people lead a life of abundance due
to their limited population and zero crime rate.
-Population
of the survivors is now just over 100. Most of the population is children and
infants, a few are middle aged, and the survivors are beginning to show signs of
growing older.
2130
– The survivors reach a population of 150.
-Dr.
Nicholas Alsever announces that the population is now sufficient for their
people to survive and prosper at a natural birth rate as long as disease and
poverty remain eliminated. He places emphasis on research of genetics and
medical services as well as education, which everyone eagerly supports.
-Amanda
Alsever announces a five children per female rule to be placed into effect to
allow continued rapid growth. While many with religious faiths may condemn this
act in the future, the society of Centauria is mostly scientific base and
believes that survival is paramount.
2135
– Sergeant Elizabeth Norton is
caught by surprise by a group of Tyrannosaurus and killed; the colonists form up
a group and begin to hunt down the creatures.
Sergeant Elizabeth Norton is buried
at her home on Centauria; she is survived by her 10 children on Centauria. Her
oldest child takes charge in raising the remaining siblings to adulthood.
2140 –
Hundreds of creatures are exterminated in the regions surrounding Icarus
Landing, and the colonists harvest most of the wildlife and leave the area
around it as grassland. Outposts are established on Toliman which will serve to
defend the new expanding population which will eventually reach the shores.
2146-
Doctor Kaitlyn Alsever of Centauria is born at her home on Centauria. She is the
daughter of Kent Alsever, and Katriona Garcia.
2155 –
Dr. Nicholas Alsever dies at his home on Centauria. While many mourn the loss of
the leader of the Centaurians, Amanda quickly assumes a leadership role fully
and reminds the people of his wishes to see everyone grow and prosper until
their day of unity.
-Amanda Alsever orders an election to
be held, the first election in 50 years. This election decides that a senate and
Governor would rule the people of Centauria. The Governor would have the powers
of head of state, and Commander in Chief. Senators represent a population of 100
people each.
-Amanda Alsever is elected Governor
of Centauria. Lieutenant Kenneth “One Eye” Goldstein, Dr. Erica Garcia, and
Kent Alsever are elected as the first senators.
-A government capital building is
constructed at the center of Icarus Landing for meetings of senate and it also
serves as a partial house for the Governor.
-A security force is created to deal
with a frightening increase in crime due to the increase of population. They are
issued police stations and jails. Laws are also created to assist the security
forces in their work. Any who object are often labeled as “backwards
people”.
2156 –
A massive port is constructed at Icarus Landing, and another on the coast of

Parts of Icarus Landing become heavens for crime and civil disorder, small gangs
form and roam streets in areas in the west with little security forces patrol,
and some begin to combat security forces.
-Security Forces are doubled to deal
with increasing crime rates. Many criticisms continue to worsen about the
government’s way of handling the issue.
2159 –
The population of Centauria is now over 1000, and the crime rate is continuing
to climb.
-Amanda Alsever announces her
intentions to retire from politics, citing she wishes to place her attention
more onto Genetics research. Many who live in heavy crime areas criticize this
as a retreat from her inability to resolve the civil unrest in the western
regions. And crime continues to escalate.
2160
- U.N.S.S. Endeavor launched to Alpha
Centauri, arrives 44 days later, first contact with Ryl'Atti civilization of
Beta Centauri III occurs when a Ryl'Atti ship intercepts Endeavor and prepares
to open fire. Captain Alerion Thorn of the Endeavor is credited with
preventing a tragic unnecessary war with the Ryl'Atti by refusing to fire on the
alien ship.

large celebration is thrown for the Endeavor and their crew. Tours are given to
the leaders of Centauria. The cultural differences between the two people become
very clear, however, as the Centaurians request computers and other vital
technology and voice their wishes to remain at Centauria and continue their work
rather than return to Earth as heroes.
2161 - U.N.S.S. Endeavor returns to Earth with
Ryl'Atti delegation.
- Terra trades
hyperdrive technology to the Ry'Atti in exchange for ownership of the Alpha
Centauri star system, Centauria officially becomes a Terran colony.
-The
first colonists from Earth arrive at Centauria. A starport is constructed at
Toliman, and houses are constructed to assist in immigration.
-Massive
programs are created to overhaul the old buildings and systems which were used
and replace them with new technology and equipment. This is hailed as a turn in
the right direction by everyone and helps to unify the people, for now.
2163 –
Many corporations are creating large space monopolies in trade, bribing Terran
Star Fleet officers into looking the other way as they deliver harmful
contraband to stations and worlds. The obvious blatant abuse of power and wealth
enrages many, making some look to the heavens for an alternate answer away from
the corruption.
-A
massive conglomerate syndicate known as Red-Purple meets with Kentaurus
Alsever and persuades him to run for Governor of Centauria. This arrangement
will begin a long period of corruption and corporate control over the government
of Centauria.

– Many of the civil works projects begin to be completed and Icarus
Landing is now appearing as a shining capital city. Crime is driven out by a
relentless Security Force with now superior weapons and training from the United
Nations of Earth.
-The
corporation Red-Purple establishes a headquarters at Icarus Landing. The
structure is a massive skyscraper which jets out into the sky and defines the
skyline. Some of the older residents complain that this is overshadowing the
original structures made by Lieutenant Kenneth Goldstein.

– Kentaurus
Alsever is elected as Governor of Centauria. He quickly passes many extreme bans
on crime and labels gangs as Terrorists. In doing so he further polarizes the
gaps and the gangs retreat to Toliman and blend in with the immigrants there.
-Governor
Kentaurus Alsever’s second act
is one of even greater controversy. He secretly begins to pour funding into all
forms of research, including ones which are declared illegal by the United
Nations of Earth on moral grounds.
-A
secret underground research superstructure known simply as Laboratory X is
constructed inside of the mountains of Toliman. Access is restricted to limited
personnel and researchers. This becomes the base for the research of the
Immortrax.
– Space monopolies begin to unite
and fight each other for trade routes. Several space stations owned by some
mining corporations and smaller corporations are sacked and destroyed, the
Terran Star Fleet is stretched too thin to respond appropriately. Things are
looking grim for the United Nations of Earth. Some speak of civil disorder on
Terra
-Dr. Kaitlyn Alsever begins her
research into the Immortrax system.

– A massive roundup of all the indigenous animals on Centauria begins.
Big bounties are placed on animals that can be turned in to government
facilities for movement to Laboratory X. Their genetic material is copied and
stored into a massive database, and they become clone experiments. Eventually
they are converted into biomass for further research at X.
-The
ailing and elderly are taken from their rest homes and undergo genetic
experimentation, many are cured of their diseases and this offsets the political
fallout which would have otherwise been generated from such a huge infringement
in civil liberties. This also increases immigration rates exponentially over the
coming years.
2167
– The Security Forces capture an unknown amount of terrorists at their
base camp in western Toliman; the terrorists are taken to an underground
biological research facility and converted to Biomass for research. The leader
of the terrorists is publicly executed via firing squad at Icarus Landing, upon
order by Governor Kentaurus
Alsever. This is heavily criticized by many, and earns him the nickname
“Governor General” which he eagerly accepts with great enthusiasm that
causes even more discourse to the people living in Toliman.
-Governor
General Kentaurus Alsever is
wounded in an attempted assassination outside of the government building at
Icarus Landing. In retaliation access to the government building and around it
is zoned off and restricted from civil use, lethal force is authorized and
sometimes used to contain this zone.

– Continued disappearances of the poor or sick from Toliman stir fears
and talks of conspiracy, the Governor General assures the public to remain calm
while dispatching even more Security Forces to hunt down and capture terrorists
for biomass conversion.

- The colony of Avalon is founded on Procyon IV by Terran colonists.
-Governor
General Kentaurus Alsever wins a
landslide victory over all of his opponents, this stirs outright protests from
Toliman residents who now begin to call him a tyrannical menace.
- Centauria petitions for its independence, which is reluctantly granted
by the Terran government.

Landing is now a population of over 2000. Toliman is in excess of 10,000.

– Governor General Kentaurus
Alsever passes the General Act of 2170, this act becomes the centerpiece of his
seven year continue of terror and corruption. It increases his time until next
election as indefinite. It also gives him complete absolute power of lawmaking
and decision making.
-The
zone around the capital building becomes known as the Buffer Zone, and is
enforced with brutal and deadly efficiency. Any who enter the Buffer Zone
without clearance are shot on sight and taken to Laboratory X for conversion to
Biomass.
-The
Centaurian Peace Corps is established, these are genetically enhanced fighters
from either the Red-Purple syndicate, former Security Force personnel, or street
thugs who have been genetically enhanced for fighting. The objective of this
organization is to continue to attack the terrorist camps and bases in the area
of Toliman, while also securing the areas of government control in the Buffer
Zone at Icarus Landing.

– The Centaurian Peace Corps battle it out with terrorists in the
streets of Toliman, and quickly suppress them on every battle. Getting
desperate, these people retreat further west, to New Nippon.

Toliman cleared of crimes, the curfew and travel restrictions are lifted and
placed on New Nippon. It is bittersweet news to everyone on Centauria.
-Construction
begins on a new Red-Purple super scraper in Neo Tokyo’s center. The city of

Hitekashi Mistune is hired by Red-Purple to become the chief of the Centaurian
Peace Corps. His brutal tactics in suppressing the terrorists previously while
serving in the Defense Forces gave him the nickname “Bloodletter”.

– Col. Mistune and his forces skirmish with terrorist cells in the
streets of Neo Tokyo. Many terrorist lives are taken.
-Terrorist
leader Frederick Goldstein, the son of Lieutenant Kenneth “One Eye”
Goldstein, is captured and his squad killed in an unsuccessful plot to bomb the
Red-Purple super scraper. He is to be taken to Laboratory X for conversion to
Biomass.
-Thousands
of citizens riot and rebel, setting the roads ablaze with tires and oil, the
thick smoke clouds the Peace Corps soldiers from being able to fight and the
citizens free Frederick Goldstein and kill 200 Peace Corps soldiers. In the
rioting, a genetics research facility is sacked and materials are taken which
will allow a reverse effect on the Red-Purple super soldier enhancements via an
air viral release. It will take two years to fine tune the virus.
-Governor
General Alsever, now enraged, sends additional forces to occupy and garrison
western Toliman. He initially orders the arrest of Lieutenant Kenneth Goldstein,
but his mother’s protest of this quickly silences his motion and forces him to
withdraw the warrant before troops arrived at his home. News reports indicate
that over one thousand people gathered outside of Kenneth Goldstein’s house,
heavily armed, to defend the aged hero.

– There is a period of extended peace and quiet and Governor General
Kent Alsever celebrates a victory against the terrorists, little did he know
that as he celebrated plans were being placed into motion to bring his regime to
a grinding halt.

– As construction for the Red-Purple super scraper comes to an end, a
massive series of terrorist counter attacks level the building to the ground and
disables power to the Eastern half of Toliman, and all of Icarus Landing.
-The
harbors between Toliman and Icarus Landing are destroyed and all ships sunk by
terrorist bombings. This cuts off the government access to the mainland.
-The
Centaurian Peace Corps compound in

Freedom Virus is released via the air through the rocket attacks, and the super
soldiers are reduced to fighting with their normal strength. They are quickly
overwhelmed and decimated by the Freedom Fighters and the compound is destroyed.

- Celay (Tau Ceti IV) is attacked by three vessels of the Klinshaya
Empire. U.N.S.S. Challenger and U.N.S.S. Atlantis are dispatched to
assist.
By the time help arrives from Terra, nearly one million Celay are dead.
U.N.S.S. Challenger is badly damaged driving the Klinshayan vessels away, and
no longer has hyperspace capability.
- The Celay formally request assistance from Terra and the Ryl'Atti, U.N.S.S.
Atlantis returns to Terra with the Celay delegation, over her Captain's
objections to leaving U.N.S.S. Challenger behind.
-Clashes
continue on Toliman between the remaining Peace Corps defending the harbor.
-Governor
General Alsever orders that the harbors be restored, and orders the construction
of ten armored divisions to finish the terrorists off once and for all. (Over
100 tanks)
-December
of 2175, Freedom Fighters secure the harbor and launch pre-made makeshift water
craft to Icarus Landing, they land on the southern part of the island and
quickly move in and establish a secret base of operations in one of the
warehouses along the harbor front at western Icarus Landing.

– The tank production facility is destroyed by terrorists, and 10 tanks
are stolen.
-Freedom
Fighters take the

2176, Freedom Fighters attack from the west into the Buffer Zone and clash with
Peace Corps soldiers. The Corps hold their ground and take defensive positions
around police barricades and in bunkers around the capital building. The battle
appears to be a stalemate.
-August
2176, Peace Corps arrest Lieutenant Kenneth “One Eye” Goldstein under
conspiracy charges and attempt to bring him to the capital building to face
execution.
-Amanda
Alsever assumes emergency powers as Governor General under a previously
classified document known as the Alsever Emergency Act and disowns her son Kent
Alsever from the Alsever line. He immediately loses any official powers given to
him previously.
-Governor
General Amanda Alsever and one thousand Freedom Fighters, now sworn in as
Security Forces personnel, release Lieutenant Kenneth Goldstein en route to the
capital building before they could arrive. The Peace Corps surrendered upon
sight of Amanda Alsever herself.
-At
the eastern end of the capital compound, 10 stolen military tanks crash through
the blockades and launch attacks against bunkered in forces and the capital
building itself. Lieutenant Kenneth “One Eye” Goldstein is quoted remarking
“Oh my, well that’s one way to destroy my pretty work isn’t it?” He
later assured the public he was referring to the mess of bunkers and pillboxes
around the capital, not the attack on the building itself.
-The
western Buffer Zone collapses in a spectacular shower of artillery fire from
tanks in the other end of the city. Freedom Fighters move in and capture the
remaining Peace Corps and enter the capital building, Governor General Alsever
enters from the eastern end. Ten minutes later, in front of hundreds of cameras
and microphones, Governor General Amanda Alsever emerges and announces the end
to the civil disorder. Behind her is Frederick Goldstein, who orders his forces
to disband their ranks and return home in victory. Behind him is Kent, who is
quickly sent to a psychiatric ward for examinations.
2177 –
The United Nations of Earth dissolves, and the United Systems Alliance is formed
between Celay, Rylat, and Terra.
-The space corporations effectively
break up due to the massive enlistment rates of all cargo running crews. The
promise of legitimate work and the obvious spark of nationalism lure almost
every profiteer out of the woodwork. Many corporations go bankrupt quickly, or
are destroyed by the new Alliance Starfleet.
-The Red-Purple Corporation and
Syndicate collapses after the end of civil disorder. Their crime bosses are
rounded up on Centauria and sentenced to lifetime terms in prison for treason,
conspiracy, corruption of public officials, murder, and genocide.
-Legitimate elections are held for
the first time in almost a decade, and new senators are elected. Frederick
Goldstein is elected as Governor General.
-All curfews, travel bans, and civil
liberty infringements come to an end.
-The General Act of 2170 is
dissolved.
-Kent Alsever is found to have been
mentally insane through most of his adult life due to an unseen genetic defect
in his blood. This defect, in combination with the antiviral treatment to
prevent the water virus on the planet, affected him in an unforeseen way. He is
given new treatments and is stabilized. He undergoes extensive psychiatric
therapy to help him realize he was not acting on his own mental capacity to
prevent him from committing suicide.
2178-
The new government orders a new flag and redesign of Neo Tokyo, giving the
contract instead to a Centaurian small architecture firm called New Horizons
Designs, who decide to build Neo Tokyo into a massive residential and commercial
district.
2179 –
The ports and starport on Centauria are renovated and re-opened. People begin to
migrate accordingly to Icarus Landing, Toliman, and New Nippon.
-A huge influx of immigrants begins
to Centauria after news spreads of the collapse of the corrupt government.

Laboratory X is discovered by Security Forces and is shut down immediately. It
is marked for demolition for 2184.
-Neo Tokyo’s major projects are
completed and the city goes under a grand opening celebration which lasts
several weeks.

monument at the site where the Red-Purple tower on Icarus Landing was standing.

Eye” Goldstein becomes known as the “Man who built Centauria”

– At an award ceremony in her honor, Governor General Frederick
Goldstein presents Amanda Alsever with the title of Mother Centauria. Her
father, Dr. Nicholas Alsever is titled as Doctor Centauria. These names inspire
nationalism and pride among Centaurians and help to unify them all. It also
places the Alsever family as the most powerful and influential family on
Centauria.

– Mother Amanda Alsever of Centauria passes away at her home on
Centauria among friends and family.

– For the next decade, massive public works projects are issued by the
Centaurian government to expand and attract people to migrate to Centauria.
Celay, Ryl’Atti, and Terran colonists arrive from all over the United Systems
Alliance, seeking a scientific community for their own research. This begins to
shape Centauria into a technological capital of the quadrant.

- Doctor Kaitlyn Alsever of Centauria develops the Immortrax process.
This technology allows a subatomic "snapshot" to be taken of an
individual's brain, which is then bound at the quantum level to a nanogel
matrix. At the moment of death, and only then, the nanogel matrix becomes
active, and can be uploaded into a cloned body of the original individual. This
technology effectively makes all who undergo it immortal. The social and
religious implications of the Immortrax process continue to be a matter of
heated debate in the

terrorist attempts to detonate a vehicle bomb at one of the Neo Tokyo building
centers near a crowd, a lone CTU agent who is off duty is able to kill the
terrorist and diffuse the bomb, preventing a possible loss of thousands of
lives. It is later discovered that the building also had the only known backups
of the Immortrax data, and special care is taken to safeguard the Immortrax data
from now on.
2205 –
During the centennial Icarus Landing celebration, terrorists from the former
Red-Purple syndicate attempt to detonate a low-yield nuclear bomb. Alliance CTU
forces successfully suppress the terrorists and disarm the device. Agent David
Bishop, the lone CTU who disarmed the Neo Tokyo bomb plot, leads the team which
disables this nuclear device.
2208 –
The Centauria government divides the Centauria Security Forces into separate
groups. Special Security Force members are now bodyguards for government
officials. Centauria Security CTU is formed as a counter terrorist wing.
Internal Affairs is formed to protect the government from potentially dangerous
political conspiracies. And the Police Force is formed to protect the general
citizens from harm. Each operates under their own department leader, and the
department leaders report to the Senate, except for the Internal Affairs wing
which reports to a senate subcommittee.
2209 –
Agent David Bishop is awarded the Centauria Three Stars Medal. This medal is the
highest form of honor which can be bestowed upon a citizen of Centauria who is
not on active service in the armed forces.
2210 –
A new government is elected for Centauria. This government focuses on research
and science expansion, however emphasizes keeping to moral standards of society.
The people believe this viewpoint best will represent not only Centauria but the

Operation Roundhouse, CTU agents storm a major terrorist compound in central Neo
Tokyo, the building is trapped and explodes. 15 agents are injured, 5 are
killed.

agents.

– Centauria survives near destruction as
an asteroid comes dangerously close to the planet. Several alliance vessels
including the U.A.S. Crockett, are able to coordinate tractor beams to slow the
asteroid's approach long enough for automated defense systems to destroy it. The
Crockett was severely damaged during the incident.
-Hackers infiltrate the GNN news
network and broadcast a messege from a man identifying himself simply as
Harding. He claims responsibility for the recent attacks and terrorist actions
and demands a ransom of 10 million tons of Biomass for genetics research. The
government of Centauria refuses.

Operation Anaconda, a three pronged CTU attack against terrorist camps in New
Nippon result in the arrest of over 30 terrorists and defeats a major terrorist
cell led by a single old crime boss of the Red-Purple Syndicate. Philip Alphonse
Harding is charged with terrorism, conspiracy, treason.

The obvious blatant abuse of power and wealth enrages many, making some look to the heavens for an alternate answer away from the corruption.

The main Starbase for Commander Benjamin Manning’s shipping company is destroyed by a corrupt conglomerate in retaliation for his refusal to allow them to buy his company out.
2169- The colony of Avalon was founded by a desperate group of Terrans fleeing the many-fold conflicts that plagued the United Nations of Earth. A small group of artisans form throughout the United Nations of Earth and are secreted onto intergalactic freighters under the care of Alliance Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning. Among the refugees were some of the most brilliant artist, sculptors, writers and historians the Terran society had produced, their safety was paramount. Searching for a safe haven the expedition selected the fourth world of the Procyon System. This snow covered planet was remote and inconspicuous, with clean drinkable water and plentiful wild life and was an ideal sanctuary for the people of the soon to be Avalon.
2170 – Colonel Deborah Manning retires from the Terran Star Service to Avalon and builds a large home with her brother, Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning. The home is designed by both, reflecting each one’s personality and giving it a unique design. It becomes a well suited image to the Avalonite capital city.
2172- The foundation of Avalon was well under way. With housing and essentials in place, the Avalonites under the guidance of Commander Manning set their sights on surveying and equating themselves with their new world. This thorny planet was full of wonder and mystery; the climate was arctic with a short growing season and few had farming expertise, the game was plentiful but skilled hunters were rare among the Avalonites. Soon those who could produce more than they could eat held sway over those who struggled to feed themselves.
2173- Several co-ops called “Circles” have emerged to dominate the political landscape among the Avalonite people. These “Circles” represent three or more families that produce or trade with another Circle to meet the needs of the Circle. The spokesman of each Circle was an elder female chosen by the members for a term of ten years. Twice yearly a Council of Elders is convened to discuss issues facing Avalon. The first council is congregated to discuss a very serious problem that affected them all. The extreme gravity generated by their sun coupled with the unusually high levels of electromagnetic activity in their atmosphere was causing there technology to fail. There were few scientists in their numbers and fewer still answers to the incredible scope of their problem.

2179- The Twelfth Meeting of the Circle of Elders: the paramount issue is the total loss of all power producing technology, the complete failure in communications and the total isolation of the colony from the rest of the United Systems Alliance. Kamara Zon, the elder of the “Snow Fox Circle”, was instrumental in soothing the Avalonite people and calming their fears. The decision was made that the Avalon people would forsake the use of all technology.
2181- Kamara Zon is elected Queen of the Avalon Colony. The title is more than symbolic as the Queen is the head of the “Counsel of Elders”, Commander in Chief of the United Circles Defense Forces, and she also functions as Head of State. Her main duty was to unite the varied factions to the cause of the common good. New arrivals from the rest of the Alliance Systems and off world traders find the Avalon colony a primitive and inhospitable place while returning Alliance Starfleet officers enjoyed the change in pace and many of them choose to live out their retirement in Avalon.
2183-
Early in the year - A Klinshayan vessel makes a crash landing on the surface of Avalon when it is attempting to scan the system and suffers equipment malfunctions. The crew abandons ship, the Commanding Officer dies in the crash and becomes the first meal for the crew, after this they are forced to scavenge for themselves. Many die due to their
metabolism being unable to adapt to the cold climate of the planet, and of the original crew only one officer and seven enlisted warriors remain.
Harvest Season – Third Claw Trael Slashfang, now leader of the remaining surviving Klinshayan, leads his survivors to discover the main area of Avalon. They plan an attack once the food is harvested to force the inhabitants into starvation rather than engage them all directly. Due to their short exposure, a majority of the Klinshayan’s weapons still function.
The Warehouse Massacre, as it becomes known, happens late one night at Avalon when several storehouses of food are ransacked, looted, and destroyed. Thirty Avalonites are killed in the ransacking defending their positions. A short investigation by ex Alliance Military finds evidence of Klinshayan weapons being used, and an emergency Council of Elders is convened. Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning is appointed as supreme commander of all Avalonite forces and splits his army into three divisions.
Circle Protectorate was designated as the security for the entire nation. These were mostly the upper middle aged, farmers, elderly, and were more of a last resort line of defense. They typically were trained to use anything they could find to repel an attacker, and nobody expected them to hold a line so their tactics were shifted to be trained in guerilla warfare. General Deborah Manning, at 63 she is showing her age but still retains resolve and integrity and swears to defend Avalon to her last breath. This rallies the Circle Protectorate and keeps morale high, which inspires the other armies to high morale as well. This group is possibly the largest force, composed of over one thousand “soldiers”.
Expeditionary Forces were designated to hunt and track the Klinshayans. These were old veterans from the Alliance and Terran Star forces, and they typically armed themselves with bows and short melee weapons like knives and tomahawks, and wore fur to be light and swift. Though aging, these men and women were well trained and capable fighters, even with their disadvantage. Their numbers lacked, however, and they were only designed to scout and track for this reason. This force was led by Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning himself. This force is 150 soldiers strong, and well trained.
Royal Army which was composed of mostly common Avalonites, some were as young as 14 years of age, still school children. They were trained by retired Alliance soldiers on basics of combat, and large group tactics using old Romanist battle formations with large shields and standard swords. Their morale and spirits remain strong, though all seasoned old Alliance officers fear they will break lines when the real fighting begins. This force is nearly 500 soldiers strong.
2184 – The Avalonite Expeditionary Forces fight sporadically with the Klinshayans, taking casualties from time to time without much success. However, they are able to track the Klinshayans through their battles and learn of the location of their main cavern stronghold, it is carved out of the mountain which was in the direction their ship crash was facing, one functional laser mount was able to burrow a large deep hole into the mountain which allowed the Klinshayans to stay a bit warmer in the cold climate, however they exhausted their weapon’s remaining power digging the hole.
Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning relays the location to line runners to bring up the Royal Army.
Several weeks before the Royal Army arrives, the Klinshayans make an attack on the Avalonite Expeditionary Forces and kill 25 soldiers, one Klinshayan is killed and three injured and the Klinshayan retreat back into the cave.
Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning and a small group of Expeditionary forces uncover the debris from the Klinshayan ship which crashed on the planet while they were attempting to find a secret entrance, and discover a barely functioning radio. They use the radio to broadcast an emergency distress to Starfleet. This radio is very primitive and thus it will take years for the Alliance to respond to it. The radio is only able to send out one signal before it’s reserve energy is depleted.
2185 – Early 2185, the Royal Army arrives and encamps around the entrance to the cave.
Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning orders the local forest to be removed and piled into the entrance and burned. The Klinshayan are effectively smoked out of their cave. They use their weapons to destroy the burning trap and attack the soldiers who bombard them with bows. The Royal Army charges from either side, flanking the Klinshayan as they are lured out from the cave when they believed they were crushing the remaining Expeditionary Forces. Though the battle lasts for only a matter of minutes, the casualties on the side of the Expeditionary Forces was high, they are nearly decimated but hold to the last man, Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning himself charges into battle and personally engages the Third Talon in melee combat.
Third Claw Trael Slashfang delivers a lethal blow to the midsection of Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning, and takes his own series of lethal attacks from the Commander. Both fall on their respective locations and the battle quickly concludes with the remaining Klinshayan defeated.
Final casualty reports are as follows. Klinshayan forces, 8 dead. Avalonite Expeditionary Forces, 70 dead, 30 wounded. Avalonite Royal Army, 5 dead and 20 wounded. Killed in battle is Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning.
Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning is buried at his home by his sister Colonel Deborah Manning, in Avalon.
2186 – A near passing ship, the U.A.S. Endurance receives the emergency
transmission made by Commander Joshua Benjamin Manning and investigates Avalon. They remain for several weeks gathering information.
An emergency Circle of Elders is convened to allow Deborah Manning right of space travel, so she may return to SOL for an honor ceremony. The Council of Elders also agrees to create a fortress to house royalty and elders, as well as to train and garrison the military. This becomes the castle which is still seen today.
Colonel Deborah Manning is promoted to the rank of General, this is a ceremonial position as Manning has been retired from active duties for many years. General Deborah Manning is also awarded the Starfleet Distinguished Service Medal and Manning Medal, becoming the first to be presented these awards.
2187 - The U.A.S. Endurance and several other ships take into tow a Starbase, Docking Stations, and many needed materials and supplies along with volunteers to Avalon to assist in rebuilding the area and restoring communications.
2189 – The Circle of Elders is persuaded by General Deborah Manning to accept the offer to restore communications and provide assistance, disregarding their mandate against technology. They agree that if an emergency was to again happen to Avalon that they must be able to communicate this to their neighbors, and vice versa.
2194 – The Circle of Elders and Queen agree to accept limited technology in forms of communication and medical supplies. However weapons and many other goods are extremely limited and restricted due to previous cultural beliefs. Space travel is forbidden by Avalonites.
2200 – The Circle of Elders agrees to a ten year reconstruction plan. This reconstruction plan also includes plans to renovate the castle further for better defenses, establishes Counties which are mostly for agricultural sections of the lands, and establishes more laws of Commerce.
2202 – General Deborah Manning dies at her home on Avalon at the age of 86. After a 2 day long funeral and mourning she is buried next to her brother at their home in Avalon.
2210 – The Queen proposes a radical new plan to more modernize her people, the Circle of Elders reluctantly agrees to these new plans. Included are plans to make the castle into a tourist area, lift many trade bans and contraband classifications, but this still outlaws space travel. Some praise this move as a step in the right direction, however many are still skeptical.
2215 – The Queen and Council of Elders agree to lift the space travel bans and most of the other bans on technology and travel. Though many still cling to their old ways, some are finally able to explore the stars again on their own.
The Queen of Avalon tours the U.A.S. Manning, becoming the first Avalonite to travel in space since Deborah Manning.
2220 – The new elections for Queen result in Elemmírë Lissësúl winning the title of Queen in a narrow victory over the incumbent.
Angrod Ancalímon, a skilled artisan in his Circle is elected in a landslide to be one of the two senators to represent Avalon in Upper Parliament.
Findecáno Eärfalas, a skilled writer and historian also wins senate election and is designated as senator in the Upper Parliament to represent Avalon in the United Systems Alliance.
